Ingesting 20.5 Billion Daily Records at ~300,000 Records/Sec Under an 80 MB RAM Ceiling
National Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and subscriber network probes across 50M+ subscribers generated more than 200,000 raw files per day (~20.5 billion records). Traditional JVM/Spark ingestion clusters suffered from severe garbage-collection pauses, out-of-memory failures, and bloated 14.5-hour daily batch extract-and-load (EL) windows.
Principal Architecture & Open IP Deployed
- PyArrow C++ Zero-Copy Streaming Core: Replaced heavy JVM workers with a custom stateful C++/PyArrow micro-batch Parquet writer sustaining ~300,000 records/sec per worker while bounding memory strictly below 80 MB RAM.
- Hybrid Data Vault 2.0 + Kimball Lakehouse: Architected an auditable Raw & Business Data Vault paired with dimensional Kimball marts using
dbt,AutomateDV, and our open-sourceautomate-dv-kimballpackage. - Loop Engineering & FastMCP Developer OS: Embedded custom FastMCP servers and agentic coding workflows across Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini CLI to automate pipeline generation and validation.
